AeroIndia International Seminar 2019
The Aero India International Seminar (AIS) 2019 is in its 12th Edition held by DRDO as prelude to the 12th Edition of Aero India.
Date: 18-19 Feb 2019 at Royal Orchid Convention Centre, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
Theme: “Emerging Frontiers in Aerospace Technologies”
With Six sub themes such as Aerospace Materials, Stealth, Hypersonic, Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning, Sensors/Avionics, Propulsion and UAV/UCAVs are chosen as per emerging technology trends, the AIS-2019 is planned to be a world class event.
Each sub theme session are handled by three renowned International Speakers, each drawn up from Academic, Research and Technology domains and two distinguished Indian counterparts.
Out of Two Plenary Session, one is planned to be allocated to be handled by Distinguished Indian Speaker from Aeronautics while the other is allocated for Foreign Speakers.
It is planned to approach all three Chiefs of Services for an address in the Seminar. Three slots are assigned to Services for this purpose.
Two hours session towards the end of the seminar is provisioned for debate by Aerospace Industry Leaders- to be evolved and finalized
This seminar is considered the biggest Aerospace Technical Seminar in the country with more than 1000 participants spread across DRDO, ISRO, CSIR/NAL, IIT/IISc/NIT/Centre of Excellence/Academicians, Students, Research Scholars DPSUs-HAL,BEL, MIDHANI, BEML, SERVICES, MoD, NFTDC , Public and Private Sector Industries, Foreign delegates etc..
All Directors of IITs/NIT /Premium Academic Institutions are invited to participate.
Other dignitaries from GoI, MoD, Aeronautics and Defence sector , Services are invited.
Increased Student participation of 200 nos targeted with delegate fee concession planned for AIS-2019.
Indian Aerospace Institutions and Industry has been found to benefit by their participation in this event.
The resources for conduct of the event is through GoI /DRDO grant while the remaining is organized through sponsorship ,advertisements and delegates fees.
In the past, members of the Seminar Advisory Committee chaired by Secretary DDR&D consists of Chairman ISRO, Deputy Chiefs of all three services, DGs of DRDO, Directors of IISc, NAL, HAL, CMD BEL, CMD BHEL, reps of Sec DP, rep Sec Civil Aviation, President Aeronautical Society of India and Secretary General FICCI.
It is planned to approach The Principal Scientific Advisor to GoI and Dr.V.K.Saraswat, Member NitiAyog to be on the dais for Inaugural Function.
